Skin Cleansers: Different Ways To Naturally Cleanse Your Skin

Commercial face washes, soaps, and face cleansers all contain chemicals that can be bad for your skin. It would be better if you use natural products that can clean and exfoliate your skin and reveal the natural beauty from within. These natural cleaners have also been proven to be effective at treating various skin infections and diseases.

Sugar

Sugar gently exfoliate and cleanse your skin. Simply combine sugar with a little amount of water and massage it onto the face in a circular motion and rinse with water.

Milk

Milk effectively cleanses most skin types. It contains lactic acid that works to remove dead skin cells. Plus, its protein and fat content moisturizes the skin.

Take 5 tablespoons of whole fat milk and add a tiny pinch of salt to it. Use a clean spoon and stir the mixture well. Soak a cotton ball into the mixture and dab it all over your face and neck area. Leave it for 1 to 2 minutes.

The mixture will exfoliate your skin and will help you get a fresh and glowing look. Plus, the milk will also soften the skin and evens out skin tone.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal is one of the best natural cleansers you can easily find in your kitchen. It is perfect for the most sensitive skin types. It has anti-inflammatory properties that can heal the skin quickly and stimulate collagen production in the skin. Being a mild astringent, it cleanses the skin without damaging. When massaged onto the skin, oatmeal draws out all the skin impurities and cleanses the pores.

For this skin cleanser, you need to grind 1/4 cup whole oats and store it in an airtight container. You can simply mix a little bit of the ground oats with water or oil to make a paste when you want to use it. Apply the mixture onto the skin. Gently create circular motions to make the mixture work as a cleanser and scrub. Rinse with warm water and pat dry with a soft towel.

Chickpea Powder And Turmeric

For ages, gram flour or chickpea powder has been used as a facial cleanser. It helps fight pimples, soften and refreshes the skin, controls excess oil, and lightens tan and dark patches.

Create a paste by mixing 2 tbsp of chickpea powder, 1 tsp of turmeric powder, and milk. The mixture should not be very thick and runny to prevent it from slipping off the skin after application. Once you create a smooth face mask-like consistency, apply it on your face and leave for 10 to 20 seconds and then work it into your skin like you would do with soap or a cleanser.

Lemon

Lemon helps get rid of tan and is an excellent skin cleanser for oily type of skin.

Combine lemon juice and a little bit of milk or yogurt. Apply the mixture on your face and wash after a couple of minutes. Pat dry your face and then moisturize.

Cucumber And Curd

Cucumber has cooling, moisturizing and tightening properties. It helps lightens the blemishes, spots, and freckles thereby leaving your skin soft and nourished. Its mild and cooling effect transform your sensitive and dry skin into healthy and glowing skin.

Using a blender, extract cucumber juice from one peeled cucumber and add 2 to 3 tbsp of fresh curd to it. Mix them well. Apply the mixture onto your face and neck and rinse with cold water and pat dry.

Coconut Oil

If used in the right way, coconut oil works as a great skin cleanser. It has been widely used in numerous health products due to its antifungal and antibacterial properties.

Warm coconut oil on your palms and coat it on your face while massaging in a circular motion. Then, place a warm towel on your face for less than a minute and wipe off the oil with the towel. After doing this, your skin will be hydrated and supple.

Honey

Honey is ideal for sensitive skin. It gently removes dirt and other impurities in the skin without drying out the skin unlike with chemical foaming soaps and cleansers. It helps reduce breakout due to its antibacterial, anti-infective and probiotic properties.

To use honey as a cleanser for your face, you just have to take half a teaspoon of raw honey and gently massage it into your skin like you would do with a soap or cleanser. Wash it off with warm water and then pat dry. Honey is good for all skin types.

Rose Water

Rose water leaves your skin fresh and hydrated. It works as an astringent AND tightens and tones the skin. Soak a cotton ball in rose water and dab onto your face.
