Coriander Leaves: A Green Leafy Veggie For A Glowing And Flawless Skin

Coriander leaves are commonly used as a garnish in various dishes and help improve the taste and flavor of the food. In addition to this, the leafy veggie is also used to treat a variety of skin problems including acne, blackheads, and dry skin.

Coriander contains significant amounts of antioxidants, folate, beta-carotene, and vitamin C. With the help of its antioxidants, coriander can prevent the movement of free radicals in the body, thus slowing down the aging process, maintaining skin elasticity ang making skin soft and supple. A powerhouse of iron, coriander may help increase the hemoglobin levels in the body and prevent anemia that can cause dull skin. It has anti-fungal and anti-microbial elements that are known to treat eczema. It is a detoxifier, a disinfectant, and even treats dark lips.

Here are the various ways on how we can use coriander in achieving flawless skin.

Coriander And Turmeric

This combination works by cleaning the pores of the skin, moisturizing it, and acting as an antiseptic agent which prevents acne and pimples.

Take a handful of fresh coriander leaves and add it to a grinder. Add some water to the leaves and grind to make a thin paste. Strain the coriander juice. Take a spoonful of the juice in a bowl and then add a pinch of turmeric powder. Mix it properly until the powder is not seen.

Wash the face with plain water and apply the mixture. Leave the mixture for quite some time. Best results can be achieved if it is applied at night before hitting the sack. Wash the face with cold water the next morning. Do this every day.

Coriander And Lemon Juice

This fresh and zingy green juice is packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. It acts like a sponge and cleanses the system from within thus resulting in clear skin.

Blend 1 cup of fresh coriander leaves, 1 tbsp lemon juice, and water as required. If the consistency is too thick, add more water and blend again. Drink this juice daily.

Aside from this, the juice can also be applied to areas with acne and blackheads using a cotton ball. Coriander enables the dead cells to be removed and leads to rejuvenated skin.

Coriander Leaves, Powdered Oats, And Egg White

Grind 1/2 of a small bowl of wet coriander in a mixer and then add an egg white and oat powder. Create a paste by mixing it thoroughly. Massage it on the skin especially on the areas with enlarged skin pores, blackheads, or whiteheads problem.
